Terms and Conditions for 2026-2027 School Year
- You agree that our school may send school messages and announcements to your email address.
- If a student submits a written withdrawal request prior to September 1, 2026, fees paid will be refunded by cheque in 10-12 weeks after a deduction of $50 handling fee per student per class. Fees are non-transferable and cannot be kept for future use. No refund will be given on and after September 1, 2026.
- Second Semester (New Registrations Only from January to June): Written withdrawal requests received by the last Saturday before winter break (December 19, 2026) will be eligible for a refund by cheque within 10–12 weeks, minus a $40 handling fee per student per class. Fees are non-transferable and may not be held for future use.
- Students are allowed to change class time ONCE before September 1, 2026, free of charge. Any class transfers on September 1, 2026, or later, will require a handling fee of $50 per student per transfer.
- If a refund is requested for any reason by the registrant — including duplicate registrations — a non-refundable $50 administrative fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Please keep the official school fee receipt(s). Replacement costs $10 per receipt.
- For New Student only: For the referee to qualify for the $10 gift card, the referred registered student shall not withdraw before September 1, 2026. Qualified referees will be able to collect a gift card from our office beginning October.
- Bursaries are available for students with financial needs. Please download the application form from our website www.chineseacademy.ca or request an application form from our office.
- Children must be at least 4 years old as of December 31 of that calendar year to attend Kindergarten 1. Children must be at least 5 years old as of December 31 of that calendar year to attend Kindergarten 2.
- Student must register into the same grade as their English school. Our school does not offer course challenges.
- Under special circumstances, such as situations beyond our control that affect students’ health and safety, and when in-person classes are not available, we reserve the right to transition to online classes. This adjustment will be made to ensure the continued education and well-being of all students. By registering, you acknowledge and agree to this potential change, and understand that there will be no refund or credit issued.
- In the event of unforeseen circumstances or external factors beyond our control, TCA reserves the right to combine classes, cancel classes or deliver classes online. We will notify students as early as possible regarding any changes to ensure minimal disruption.
