5月23日（周六）是学校假期，不用上课。
- 2026年6月16日或之前报读中文班可享$40优惠
- 学费：$420 (优惠后）

- 班级分班结果将于9月初或之前公布
- 欢迎您与亲朋好友分享我校的注册信息。
任何推荐新学生到我们学校的人士将获得一张$ 10礼品卡以作酬谢。此礼品卡可于2026年10月领取。

7. 失物招领
5月每周六上课期间，失物陈列于JGD高中办公室外咨询台旁，
由驻卡尔加里总领事馆主办, 第十九届“汉语桥”世界中学生中文比赛现正接受报名。
在刚刚落幕的第26届世界华人学生作文大赛中，

Please see below for important updates and highlights for the month.
1. School Holiday:
This is a friendly reminder there are NO classes on Saturday, May 16 and May 23.
Victoria Day Holiday (Saturday, May 16) – No Classes
School Holiday (Saturday, May 23) – No Classes
2. The 2026-2027 Chinese Class Early Bird Registration has begun.
- Chinese class early bird registration tuition price – $420 ($40 discount already applied)
- Deadline: June 16, 2026
- Tuition includes the full school year and the textbook fee.
- Class placements will be announced via emails in early September.
- Registering early is very important to our school’s planning.

Parents are welcome to share the registration information of our school with your relatives and friends. Referrers will receive a $10 gift card for every new student referral. This gift card will be available for collection starting in October 2026.Registration options (No Cash Registration):

3. 2026-2027 Option Classes Registration
- We offer option classes for children (ages 3+) and adults. Please see the link below for available classes in the 2026-2027 school year.
- Students who register for BOTH Chinese classes and Option classes will receive a $10 gift card. This gift card will be available for collection starting in October 2026. Click Here
- KidSport Financial Bursary available for those who qualify. Please contact the office for more information.
4. Second Semester Exam Schedule
- Exam date: Saturday, May 2
- Makeup exam requests must be submitted by email before May 6
(Makeup exam date: May 9, graded at 85%)
5. Report Card Reminder
- All outstanding second semester assignments must be submitted by May 2
- Report cards will be emailed by June 16

High school grades will be submitted to Alberta Education by the end of June. Students can access them via their myPass accounts
6. 2026 Graduation and Awards Ceremony
- Kindergarten & Elementary (Grades 1–6): June 6, 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
- Secondary (Grades 7–12): June 6, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Detailed arrangements will be emailed to award recipients and graduates’ families by the end of May
7. Lost and Found
Lost items will be displayed every Saturday in May at the information desk outside the JGD high school office. Unclaimed items after May 30 will be donated.
8. 19th “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for Secondary Students
- Organized by the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Calgary
- Registration is now open
- Theme: “Chasing Dreams in Chinese, Living Youth to the Fullest”
Interested students are welcome to participate; registration will be handled by the school. Please send the registration form and competition video to the school by May 5th.
9. Congratulations to Our Students on Their Outstanding Achievements
We are proud to announce that our students achieved excellent results in the 26th World Chinese Students Writing Competition, showcasing strong writing skills and cultural understanding.
We extend our warmest congratulations to all award-winning students! Certificates will be presented at the 2026 Graduation and Awards Ceremony. We encourage more students to actively participate in cultural activities and continue to shine in future opportunities.
