三十週年校慶美勞比賽

2026年是亞省中文學校建校三十週年。為慶祝這一特別的日子，學校將舉辦「三十華章，同心築夢｜我與亞省中文學校共成長」三十週年校慶美勞比賽，邀請K1至G12學生通過繪畫、拼貼及手工創作，表達對學校的祝福，記錄在中文學校的成長點滴。

活動時間：

  • 10月24日（星期六）： 各班開始構思及設計作品
  • 10月31日（星期六）： 學生在課堂完成作品

各年級將根據年齡設計不同主題，例如K1-K2主題為「百花爭艷」、「蝶舞花間」、G1–2「茁壯成長」、G3–4「三十華誕」、G5–6「共繪校園」、G7-9「字裡乾坤」、G10–12學生製作中文學校成長故事折疊繪本或三十週年主題中文手抄報。

請家長協助孩子準備蠟筆、彩色筆、兒童剪刀、固體膠及適合的裝飾材料等。學校也會提供部分創作材料。我們特別鼓勵孩子發揮自己的創意，獨立完成作品。家長可以給予孩子鼓勵和建議，但不需要代替孩子完成，讓每一件作品都真正體現孩子自己的想法與成長。

10月31日當天，歡迎家長在孩子放學前最後10-20分鐘進入課堂，欣賞孩子的作品，並留下鼓勵與祝福：

Dear Parents,

We are grateful to see our students continue to grow and make progress.

2026 marks a special milestone for The Chinese Academy (TCA) as we celebrate our 30th Anniversary.

To commemorate this important occasion, TCA is pleased to present a 30th Anniversary Art Competition under the theme:

Arts & Crafts Competition

“Celebrating 30 Years of Excellence and Growing Together with TCA”

Students from K1 to Grade 12 are invited to explore their creativity through drawing, collage, and hands-on art projects. Through their artwork, students can share their wishes for TCA and reflect on their experiences and memories of growing up with our school.

Activity Schedule

  • Saturday, October 24: Students will brainstorm ideas and begin planning their artwork in class.
  • Saturday, October 31: Students will complete their artwork during class.

Age-appropriate themes have been prepared for each grade level:

  • K1–K2: A Garden in Bloom / Butterflies Among the Flowers
  • Grades 1–2: Growing Strong
  • Grades 3–4: Celebrating 30 Years
  • Grades 5–6: Our School
  • Grades 7–9: A World Within Chinese Characters
  • Grades 10–12: Students may create either a fold-out storybook card about their journey and memories at TCA or a Chinese hand-drawn newspaper inspired by the school’s 30th Anniversary.

Materials

Please help your child prepare basic art supplies such as crayons, coloured pencils or markers, child-safe scissors, glue sticks, and other suitable decorative materials. The school will also provide selected materials for students to use.

We encourage students to take the lead in creating their own artwork and expressing their individual ideas. Parents are welcome to encourage and offer suggestions, but we request that you allow your child to complete the work independently. We hope each piece will reflect the student’s own creativity, perspective, and personal connection with TCA.

Parents Are Invited!

On Saturday, October 31, parents are warmly invited to join us during the final 10-20 minutes of class before dismissal. This will be a wonderful opportunity to view the students’ artwork, celebrate their creativity, and leave a message of encouragement and best wishes.

Kindergarten: Morning: 11:30–11:45 a.m.; Afternoon: 3:30–3:45 p.m.

Elementary: Morning: 11:40–11:55 a.m.; Afternoon: 3:40–3:55 p.m.

Junior & Senior High: Morning: 11:50 a.m.–12:00 p.m.; Afternoon: 3:50–4:00 p.m.

Selected outstanding artworks will be displayed by the school and may also be featured in our 30th Anniversary Commemorative Publication.

Thank you for your continued support of TCA. We look forward to celebrating this special milestone together and giving our students an opportunity to express their creativity while capturing the memories, experiences, and meaningful moments of their journey at The Chinese Academy.

New Option Classes

  • Choir

Students who love music and enjoy singing are warmly invited to join our Choir! The Choir will mainly perform Chinese songs, allowing students to combine singing with Chinese language learning and improve their language skills in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.

Our instructor has extensive experience leading choirs and will provide students with opportunities to perform, helping them build confidence and develop their stage presence.

  • Badminton Club (Afternoon)

Good news! In response to popular demand from parents, we are excited to offer an afternoon Badminton Club!

Whether you are a student or a parent, and regardless of your badminton skill level, everyone is welcome to join! This is a self practice club with no instructor, giving you the freedom to enjoy playing badminton, stay active, and improve your skills at your own pace.

Spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please refer to the attached poster for details.

Parking Lot Notice

Due to an inter-school volleyball tournament taking place at John G. Diefenbaker High School on October 24, the parking lot is expected to be busier than usual. Parents and students are reminded to drive slowly, watch out for pedestrians, yield to pedestrians, and follow on-site instructions to ensure traffic and pedestrian safety and avoid blocking access routes.

Halloween Notice

October 31 is a regular school day. Parents are kindly reminded to ensure that students’ clothing and accessories are appropriate for school. Please do not cover students’ faces. Please do not allow them to bring toy weapons or similar items to school. These measures help minimize disruptions to other students and maintain a safe and orderly school environment.

Photo Day

School Photo Day will take place on Saturday, November 21. The photos will be used for the Anniversary Yearbook, for promotional purposes or community events. We will follow the preferences indicated on the submitted Media Consent Form to determine whether your child may be photographed. If the form was not submitted by the deadline, the school will consider consent to have been granted.
