第二学期将于2026年1月10日开始。幼儿园至9年级中文课程学费为$230，高中课程为全年学费$460。2025-2026学年在读学生无需重新注册。

家长工作坊

新年我们将全新推出家长工作坊！系列课程旨在帮助家长掌握支持孩子中文学习的实用技巧，同时提升基础中文能力。内容涵盖：本校课程体系、高中学分认证、中文发音与问候语、汉字构成规律、实用网络资源及学习习惯培养等。

工作坊时间：

2026年1月24日、2月28日、3月14日三个周六下午1:30-2:30

地点：John G. Diefenbaker 高中#243教室（二楼图书馆内）

趣味拼音班

我们现正推出适合零基础学员的趣味拼音课程。拼音是识字阅读、标准发音的基石，也是连接传统书写与数字时代的桥梁。熟练掌握拼音，将让孩子在电脑、手机上顺畅输入中文，为未来的学习与沟通奠定基础。

课程时间：2026年1月10日至4月25日（共13课时）

每周六中午12:15-12:45

适合各年龄阶段拼音初学者

IB口语内部评估

IB口语内部评估将于2026年1月31日至2月21日期间连续三个周六进行，考场设在Sir John A. Macdonald学校#26与#28课室。請在SJAM一樓上課的其他班級的學生不要到考試区域小息，保持安静，為 12年級IB學生創設一個良好的考試環境。預祝IB学生考試成功！

KidSport Calgary

Wishing you and your families a Very Happy New Year!

We hope you are having a restful and joyful holiday break. As we are fast approaching the new calendar year, we reflect on a successful first semester, where we saw significant growth in our students. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Saturday, January 10, 2026, for an exciting and productive second semester!

New Year Holidays

The office will be on holiday break from December 21 until Monday, January 5, 2026. We will be back to regular operating hours on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

First Semester Report Cards

The Chinese Academy will distribute the first semester report cards via email by January 10, 2026.

If you have not received the student’s report card by January 17, please email thechineseacademy@gmail.com.

 

Register for the Second Semester

The second semester begins on January 10, 2026, with a registration fee of $230 for kindergarten to grade 9 Chinese classes, $460 for grades 10 to 12 classes. Students currently enrolled in the 2025-2026 school year do not need to register again. Families who have not yet joined our programs are invited to register now to secure their spot.

Parent Workshop

We are excited to launch our Parent Workshop in the new year! These sessions are designed to help families support their children’s Chinese learning at home while also parents gaining basic language skills themselves. Topics include TCA programs, High School credits, Chinese pronunciation and greetings, Chinese character formation, useful online resources and learning habits.

Workshop Dates:

  • January 24, 2026
  • February 28, 2026
  • March 14, 2026

 

Time: 1:30–2:30 PM

 

Location: John G. Diefenbaker High School – Room 243

New: Pinyin FUNdation Class – Registration Open

We are pleased to launch a new beginner-friendly Pinyin FUNdation class to help students build strong pronunciation and reading foundations through fun, interactive learning.

For more information, please refer to the attached poster. Limited spots available—register early!

IB Oral Internal Assessment

IB Oral Internal Assessment will begin on Saturday, January 31, 2026 until Saturday, February 21, 2026 for three Saturdays. The exam will be held in Sir John A. Macdonald School Room 26 and Room 28. We kindly ask students to help maintain a quiet and respectful environment during the assessments. Wish all IB students the best of luck in their exams!

KidSport Calgary

KidSport Calgary & Area is a local charity that relies on community support to provide fee assistance and no-cost equipment to families who otherwise could not afford to participate in sports. Many students from The Chinese Academy have utilized KidSport Calgary to receive support for their sports programs!
